Education
The Choral Art Society hosted a 2003 High School Beethoven Choral Celebrations Festival with an all-day rehearsal and evening concert at Merrill Auditorium featuring CAS and 200 high school students from the New England region.
In 2006 CAS collaborated with Portland Ballet on a highly innovative production of Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Unicorn, the Gorgon, and the Manticore. Local Middle School and High School groups attended a youth concert which included a full performance, a moderated interactive panel discussion, and an educational Study Guide.

Outreach
CAS Ticket Donation Program
The Choral Art Society is proud to partner with the United Way of Greater Portland in providing free concert tickets to groups and individuals in the Portland area who would not otherwise be able to attend our concerts. We are excited to build a relationship with the United Way, an organization that is committed to improving people’s lives through community outreach. We hope our concerts will inspire, exhilarate, and delight all our guests who attend through the CAS Ticket Donation Program.
Handel on Hunger Food Drive
In 2006 CAS held a Handel on Hunger food drive in conjunction with our popular Messiah Sing-Along to benefit Portland’s Project FEED emergency food pantry. It was a huge success and we will continue the tradition during the season of giving of reaching out to help those in need.
