ChoralArt joins the Portland Symphony Orchestra for a cosmic musical journey led by conductor Eckart Preu.

This unique program explores humanity’s place in the universe through three powerful works. Wabanaki artist Firefly opens the concert with Militakwat, (pronounced mill-e-duh-kwut, Penobscot for “it has all kinds of sounds”) —a multimedia piece rooted in the music and spirit of the Dawnland people. Max Richter’s On the Nature of Daylight follows, a poignant reflection on time and memory. The evening concludes with Holst’s sweeping The Planets, where ChoralArt lends its voice to the ethereal final movement, Neptune, the Mystic.
