Join ChoralArt at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston as we sing Louis Vierne’ s Solemn Mass (Messe Solonnelle) and Schubert’s Mass in G as guest artist in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Basilica status and of the Mark Thallander Foundation.

Vierne scored his Solemn Mass for choir and two organs, and the Basilica is one of the few venues able to host its performance. At its premiere at St. Sulpice in Paris in December 1901, Charles-Marie Widor played the main organ and Vierne the choir organ. This performance will feature renowned Maine organists Scott Vaillancourt and Randall Mullin.
